In India, the state government of Gujarat has decided to make a shift to a paperless office. Beginning from April, all government departments will mandate creating new files online. However, the government will exempt certain issues of an urgent and sensitive nature from this act. This decision is extremely significant because once all files are online, courts can rule in a single go that whatever additional files are open vis-a-vis RTI should go online automatically.
