This book is a compilation of stories of activism against the social, economic and ecological inequities arising from rapid of technological advancement. Geographically diverse cases are presented to draw out the similarities and connections between people subjected to the backlashes of technology. The authors are optimistic that responsible technology is a global issue which can be solved with a local interventions. According to the authors, the book is more than just a critique, since it seeks to reframe the discussion on sustainable electronics and develop a system for responsibly managing the technologies around us.
