Japan will research net replacement

With increasing signs that the Internet is approaching its limit in terms of speed, security and ability to cope with new technology formats, there are calls for the underlying architecture to be completely overhauled. Japan is part of this effort that promises to makes the Internet more fast, safe and environment friendly. This project will begin towards the end of the year and will solicit private sector co-operation and possible inter-government support. Similar moves by the US government to research Internet replacement is expected to bear fruit in 10 -15 years time as funding from US Congress is yet to be sanctioned. With Japan leading the world in Internet speeds and providing universal Internet connections, one can expect the Japanese initiative to bear fruit in the near future.
